We have fallen a bit behind and out past three months. Watching kids, being sick and the upcoming travel for Jana is taking a toll right now. We should finish up a large order next week which will allow us to better judge exactly where we are at. The large orders are a welcome sight but they also can tie up weeks of processing time where we loose track of exactly where we are. In this case it has pushed us out WRT time not in. Sorry, working hard and we ask for your continued patience. Eric Add Comment Travels 02/24/2012
jana will be at the Maryland sheep and wool festival. Not as a vendor, but just enjoying the show. as such if you need fiber picked up call her. Jana will be at the Lexington Classic showing. She can pick up fiber there for you. Jand and I will be at the Graves Mountain fiber festival (lets get naked from toes to closes) coordinated by Teri Phipps. Yarn staple length 02/24/2012
We are expecting shorter than normal staple lingth this year. Remember that short fibers added to longer fibers (difference of more than an inch) usually creates slubs in your yarn. pay attention during shearing and don't let those second cuts in with your main blainket or skirt them out. Good yarn starts with great fiber!! Warm Winter means more parasites 02/24/2012
Run your fecals!!! This warm winter has allowed parasites to flourish. We are finding an unusual egg count coming back in our animals fecals. Get ahead of the game and pay for the tests. If you want to know how to read the lab results call jana!! But, honestly for all the hard questions we go to Teri Phipps ( I probably spelled that wrong). Wow Time does fly by 02/24/2012
If your not keep up on facebook with Jana you might just have noticed the Web site has not been updated in like 3 months. I did change jobs in January and as such have not done due dilligence to the site. We are still about 3 months out but have 2 large wool runs that still need to be completed that are not exactly in my timeline. Longer runs give us great flexibility but are rare and makes it harder for me to exactly give you processing times. As usual just call if you are feeling pressure of a show coming up. Do not call 1 week out, we need at least 3 weeks to break into production if you need product back. We are down to about 42 animals on the property and it has been so warm this winter I only feed out about half the hay. Looking to fertilize this weekend if I don't get rained on. Merry Christmas to all !!! 12/23/2011

We have been working hard to get back to around 3 month processing time. We are about there. We just ran 40+ pounds of Romney wool and have another 40 pounds of white on the drying racks. Final push towards Christmas 11/28/2011
We have been working extra hard these past three weeks to get your yarn to you. Soon we will have to rachet it down as the pace we are working is unsustainable. This past week we produced more yarn than in any prior week since we opened. Thanks to larger runs we made up some time and hope to finalize a few more customers (if the silk ever gets here) this week. After the VAOBA show we will more back to a more normal production schedule as the farm work has been neglected for weeks now. The loss of one of our own 11/21/2011
We lost Gem this morning. The old girl just kept getting thinner and thinner. Worming and food could not make a dent and she went down for good last night. We weened her baby a month early a few weeks ago, but that did not make a difference. Fiber Fiber Fiber 11/21/2011
